Exclamation Style Kyoto Social Welfare Corporation Press Release: August 31, 2025 Kyo Kanure Project PRESS RELEASE Creating new Kyoto souvenirs through the expertise and technical skills of businesses and the work of people with
disabilities in the welfare sector. ■ A new Kyoto souvenir: Kyokanure We are pleased to announce the launch of Kyokanure, a new project that combines the expertise and technical capabilities of businesses with the workforce of people with disabilities in the welfare sector to create new value for society. The “Kyoto Wet” project was launched in April 2023, jointly by Exclamation Style Kyoto, a social welfare corporation based in Kyoto Prefecture, and J.F.S. Co., Ltd. We aim to create valuable jobs and further promote the social inclusion of people with disabilities, with the aim of expanding new Kyoto-inspired sweets nationwide through the work of people with disabilities working at welfare facilities. As a pioneer in this endeavor, we began developing “Kyoto Kanure,” a sweet made with Kyoto’s traditional matcha and hojicha tea. We meticulously crafted the molds and developed an original recipe under the supervision of J.F.S. Co., Ltd., taking into consideration “a work process that is accessible to people with disabilities.” The packaging is based on the motif of a dry rock garden, with the canelés standing majestically among the tranquil rocks, expressing the essence of Kyoto. In addition to the traditional “Canelé de Bordeaux,” we will also be releasing the gluten-free “Canelé de Kyoto,” made with rice flour. Chocolate-coated canelés will also be available to match each flavor. We will continue to collaborate with long-established local businesses on Kyoto souvenirs. We opened “kozuya (Exclamation Factory Kozuya)” (Employment Transition Support and Continuing Employment Support Type B). We provide employment support to people with disabilities through craftsmanship such as pottery production, food processing, and confectionery baking. Since our founding, we have worked with companies, organizations, and individuals with high levels of expertise and technical skills across fields and industries, promoting the “work skills” and “valuable work” of people with disabilities through our employment support services. “Lunch & Cafe Crews” will open on Kyoto University’s Katsura Campus in November 2025. (established in 1999) ・restaurant＆garden chou-cho / sounenir shop Located within Uji City Botanical Garden, this cafe restaurant offers a lush, open terrace and a selection of interior goods and greenery. It offers a diverse menu, including Western cuisine and sweets made with local Uji matcha and roasted green tea. ・Tyoujiya Now open at Hotel Gimmond in Kyoto City.
