Take stunning photos! “Yunohana Garden,” a new tourist spot in Okayama’s Yugo Onsen Yunohana Garden was born from the desire to bring back the vibrant Yugo Onsen, to let many customers learn about the good things about Mimasaka City, and to encourage them to visit. Yunohana Garden, adjacent to Farm Cafe Yugo, opened on May 14, 2022. This stylish picnic spot, featuring blooming flowers and a carpet of lush green grass, is a great place to enjoy snacks and sweets ordered from the cafe. There’s also a foot bath area, allowing you to enjoy the Yugo Onsen, known for its beauty-enhancing waters. Seasonal flowers can be placed in the foot bath, creating a unique experience. This spacious garden allows you to relax and connect with nature. A work by artist Ellie Omiya, who exhibited at the Setouchi Triennale, will be released in September 2024. About Mimasaka Farm Mimasaka Farm, one of the largest strawberry and grape orchards in Okayama Prefecture, is located on the north-south border of Okayama Prefecture. It cultivates fruit in Mimasaka City, where the warm sunshine during the day and crisp, cool mornings and evenings make it ideal for growing fruit. Strawberry picking is held from December to May, and grape picking is held from August to October, attracting many visitors every year. The fruit grown in this area ripens slowly due to the cold, resulting in large berries with rich flavors and concentrated nutrients such as vitamin C. In addition, Mimasaka Farm is mindful of food safety, using microorganisms and natural insects to ensure healthy fruit growth and minimizing the use of chemical pesticides. At the National Strawberry Championship held in February 2024, we won a silver medal. Our deliciousness was recognized by professional vegetable sommeliers, placing us in the top 10 in the nation.
